Paying For

You May Qualify for FREE Money

What’s a grant, who can get one, and how?

A grant is financial aid, often based on financial need, which does not need to be repaid. FREE money for college expenses? Yes!

Grants are available through the federal or state government, your college or career school or a private or nonprofit organization. Spend time doing your research as you can apply for as many grants as you qualify for! One last thing to note: in some cases you may have to pay a grant back if you withdraw from school before finishing a specific enrollment period.

Here are a few grants that are available to Wright State applicants who meet eligibility requirements. RaiderConnect has all the details:

  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grand
  • Ohio College Opportunity Grant
  • Wright State University Need-Based Grant

The U.S. Department of Education also has information on grant funding.
